Umbraco 8: The days are numbered – what can you do now?
The end of support for Umbraco 8 has come, have you already updated? Support for your Umbraco 8 version will end on February 24, 2025 , which means that the delivery of security updates has also ended! We will keep you informed about the further development of the Umbraco platform and support you with your update!
End of Life: what does that mean?
In a nutshell: End of Life means that version 8 of Umbraco will no longer receive any updates – it is therefore being phased out.
Umbraco distinguishes between three phases in the life cycle of a version: support phase, security phase and end of life. As soon as the support phase for a version (such as Umbraco 8) ends, it will only receive security updates. When the security phase ends, the version reaches the end of its life: no further security updates will be provided for Umbraco 8. At this stage, Umbraco strongly advises you to switch to a more up-to-date version.
